
Fried Rice Recipe
Looking for an easy and delicious way to use up leftover rice? Try this classic fried rice recipe!
Ingredients:
- 3 cups cooked rice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
Directions:
- Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the vegetable oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Add the beaten eggs to the pan and let cook undisturbed for about 1 minute, or until set. Use a spatula to break the eggs into small pieces and transfer to a plate.
- Add the chopped onion to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Add the cooked rice, soy sauce, and black pepper to the pan and toss to combine with the onion and garlic.
- Add the peas and carrots to the pan and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Add the cooked eggs and sliced green onions to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until everything is heated through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
