  4. Grease a baking tray with oil and pour in the mixture.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 F for 40-45 minutes or until cooked.

  1. In a bowl, mix besan, yogurt, salt, ginger paste, turmeric powder, sugar, oil and 1 cup of water. Mix well and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Add baking powder and baking soda to the batter and mix well.
  3. Grease a thali and pour the batter into it.
  4. Steam it for 10-12 minutes or until the dhokla is cooked.
  5. For the tempering, heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
  6. Once they start spluttering, add curry leaves and green chillies. Fry for a few seconds.
  7. Add water, sugar, lemon juice and salt. Mix well and cook until the sugar dissolves.
  8. Pour the tempering over the steamed dhokla and let it soak for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Garnish with coriander and sesame seeds.
  10. Serve Khaman Dhokla with green chutney.
