Bartlesville Area History Museum Seeks Your Recipes for Exhibit

Winter Traditions and Social Life Exhibit at the Bartlesville Area History Museum

The Bartlesville Area History Museum is hosting an exhibit that highlights the early traditions and social life of the Washington County community during winter. As part of this exhibit, the museum is creating a community cookbook featuring the favorite family recipes of the Washington County community.

Submission Details

In order to participate in the community cookbook, interested individuals should submit their favorite family recipe to the Bartlesville Area History Museum by the end of August. The submission should include:

  • Name of the recipe
  • List of ingredients
  • Cooking instructions
  • Name of the submitter
  • Contact information of the submitter
  • A picture of the dish, if possible
  • A brief description of how the recipe became a part of the submitter's family history

Spots for recipe submissions are limited, so get yours in soon!

Exhibit and Cookbook Reveal

The community cookbook will be revealed and sold in the museum's gift shop at the end of the exhibit in December. The Bartlesville Area History Museum is located on the fifth floor of City Hall, 401 S. Johnstone Ave. The museum is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on weekends and holidays. Admission to the museum is free.
