Blackberry Cobbler Recipe
Jennifer Garner and her mother Pat pay tribute to their late neighbor Mrs. Lantz by sharing her delicious recipe for blackberry cobbler. According to Jen, this summer staple is so irresistible that it might just beat the main course.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Evenly spread the blackberries in the bottom of the dish and set aside.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, 1 cup of the sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk and melted butter until smooth. Pour this mixture over the berries.
- Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the batter and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Enjoy!
