Ingredients
- 4-5 fresh drumsticks
- 4 cups of water
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
Directions
- Wash the drumsticks and cut them into 2-3 inch pieces.
- Boil water in a saucepan and add drumstick pieces in it. Cook till drumsticks are done, for about 10-15 minutes.
- Cool them down, strain the mixture using a sieve. Reserve the stock and flesh.
- Remove the flesh from the drumsticks and set it aside.
- In a separate pan, take the stock and bring it to a full boil. Skim off the scum formed on top using a ladle.
- Add salt and cumin powder to the soup and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Once done, turn off the heat and blend the soup using a hand blender until smooth.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves (optional) and serve hot.
