Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three increments, mixing until just combined after each addition.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing the dough balls about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. For softer cookies, take them out of the oven at around 10 minutes. For crispier cookies, leave them in for 12 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve and enjoy!
