These classic chocolate chip cookies are the perfect treat for any occasion. They are soft and chewy in the center, with a slightly crispy edge and loaded with gooey chocolate chips. Bake a batch today and indulge in the ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three increments, mixing until just combined after each addition.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing the dough balls about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. For softer cookies, take them out of the oven at around 10 minutes. For crispier cookies, leave them in for 12 minutes.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
