The Best Breakfast Recipe: IHOP vs. Perkins

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 4 bacon strips or sausage links
  • 2 buttermilk pancakes
  • 2 slices of French toast
  • Butter
  • Syrup

Directions:

  1. Visit an IHOP and a Perkins Restaurant and Bakery near you.
  2. At IHOP, order their 2 x 2 x 2 breakfast which includes two eggs cooked any style, two bacon strips or sausage links, and two buttermilk pancakes.
  3. At Perkins, order the Magnificent Seven breakfast which includes three pancakes, two bacon strips, and two eggs cooked any style.
  4. Order French toast at both restaurants. At IHOP, order the Thick 'n Fluffy classic French toast. At Perkins, order the brioche French-toast platter.
  5. Add butter and syrup to your pancakes and French toast at both restaurants.
  6. Enjoy IHOP's fluffy and flavorful pancakes topped with a satisfying dollop of butter. Take a few bites of the scrambled eggs, but skip the cold and runny center. Savor the savory flavor of the bacon, which pairs well with the pancakes. Enjoy the crispy exterior of IHOP's French toast, but wish it had cooked a bit longer.
  7. Move on to Perkins, where the pancakes aren't as fluffy or buttery, but still satisfying. Enjoy the warm and perfectly scrambled eggs with just the right hint of buttery flavor.
