Cannoli French Toast Recipe
This delicious Cannoli French Toast recipe will bring a sweet touch to your breakfast or brunch. The recipe takes a classic breakfast dish and transforms it into a heavenly treat. Topped with cannoli filling and a whipped cream, this French toast recipe is a must-try.
Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 6 thick slices of bread
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Whipped cream
Directions:
- Preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon.
- Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are fully coated.
- Place the bread slices into the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and mini chocolate chips. Set aside.
- Place two slices of French toast on a plate. Spread a generous amount of the ricotta mixture on top of the French toast. Repeat with the remaining slices of toast and ricotta mixture.
- Top with whipped cream and serve immediately. Enjoy!
