Fafda Recipe
Fafda is a crispy fried snack that is popularly enjoyed with sweet jilebis as a sweet-sour breakfast combo in states like Gujarat. It is also known as vanva and can be stored for up to a week after preparation.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of gram flour
- Salt (mixed with water; as required)
- Oil (as required for frying)
- Black salt and pepper powder (as required)
Preparation:
- Make a tight dough by mixing the gram flour with water and keep it aside.
- Break the dough into small pieces, make it soft by hitting it using a grinding stone, and make small balls out of it.
- Dust these balls with some maida flour and flatten each one of them by rolling.
- Cut them into three-inch long stripes and one-inch wide stripes each and deep fry the same in hot oil.
- To make it spicy, drop some salt and pepper over it and serve as a recipe.
